i read that people think us kids shouldnt play gemstone but thats bullshit. i am 12 years old and have a 55 warior so whats' wrond with that? i come home from school and studie and do my homework for 1 hour then i play gemstone until dinner time then i play until bed time. i alwas go to bed earlie on school knights no later then 11:45pm. then on weekend i really play. ususally from 12-12. ok so 2 days i play a lot big deal. theres nothing wrong with thtat. and i dont cause truble in the game either, i only got in about (less then) 25 fights and killed 5 peple. the gms now that i dont meen any harm by it so they never banning me for more then 10 days at most. and when i do kill someone its for a good reason not to be some twit and kill for fun i do it when there is a reasond to. like when i spend 20 mins killing something and it runs and i go in the next room and its dead and someone else is standing there. then that is the only good reason to kill someone in the game. so dont think i am a trouble maker. and when i am needed around the house i always help out like when i had to take the trash out. i remembered right when i quit playing gs. then i went down at took it out before i went to bed and i was quiet not waking up a single person on the way. and people are always telling me i spend too much time playing gemstone like so what if i spent 50 hours a week on it. thats not even 2 full days worth out of a 8 day week. i could be out doing drugs like all the kids at my school do but instead i am learing better grammar and typing skills and using my imaginations in a text based aventure game. now thats what i call a good way to spend your time. all you people would think us kids are bad for you game, but we are not. its better to be a kid and play a game then to be some grown looser who plays a kids game. ps i will not give my name because i know people and here will come after me and hold a grudge in the game and i support teh pRINCE oF dENMARK for not telling who he is too.Oct 3, 1998 legend warrior lord

Maybe he should take another
fifty hours out of his eight-day week to brush up on writing and :::ahem:::
arithmetic. After all, that's not even two full 24-hour days :::grin:::

And I'm probably going to be
really flamed for this but, if your post is your normal style of writing,
I'd suggest spending less time in Gemstone and more time on your homework.
However, I do understand that sometimes you want to just get your message
out there and not worry about grammar and punctuation, but it seriously
dilutes your point to write in such a manner. ::shrugs again::
Whose life went to shit a
long time ago, but finds it much more bearable since playing GemStone
Saying you're not a "troublemaker"
in the game isn't exactly accurate. If you've killed 5 people, that's 5
people too many. If you've never been locked out of the game for more than
10 days at a time, that's 10 days too long. In three real life years of
playing and having 10 characters, I have never ONCE swung a blade or cast
to kill another character. Yes, I have bound and slept twits, but never
let them die. The only time I even directly caused someone's death, it
was because the guy wouldn't leave the empaths at the gate alone and all
I did was bring him out to leapers. Didn't bind him or stun him or anything,
so he could have easily walked away. Not only have I never been locked
out of the game, I've never even gotten a warning from a GM. If you're
angry at someone and want to make sure they know it, there are much, much
better ways of handling this than killing them or swearing up a storm.
Your example of the poacher. Did you even talk to the guy? Or when you
ran in and saw the creature you had been hunting was dead simply swung
at him? The first method, maybe the guy won't mistakenly poach again; perhaps
he'll wait a second to look at the creature or wait to see if someone comes
running in after the monster. The second method, you've got someone who
is going to be very angry also now and think his death was unjustified
and if he can't take it out on you will take it out on someone else and
keep the cycle going. Practice a little maturity yourself and you'll find
that people will treat you with a lot more respect. If you're truly a 55th
level warrior then you should have learned well before now that sometimes
someone will kill your hunt by mistake and without malicious intent. ::shrug::
